OUR MISSION

TO HONOR LUCY’S LIFE…

We are here to provide support for children fighting cancer and their families.

Through our yearly donation to the 7th floor of Phoenix Children’s Hospital in honor of Lucy’s birthday as well as throughout the year.

We advocate for the donation of blood by creating awareness of its need by patients, especially children fighting blood cancers.

Through the hosting of our memorial blood drives, donating regularly ourselves, as well as encouraging others outside of our area to donate often.

OUR STORY

In May of 2014 Lucy was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia. Even as we were assured that this was the "best" cancer for a kid— with cure rates up into the 90s— and she had the ideal age and numbers, her battle was anything but ordinary. She battled secondary diagnosis one after the other for 5 months before her little body could take no more. On October 24, 2014, just 11 days before she would have turned 3, our sweet Lucy Selah drew her lasts breath on earth and flew away home.

On November 4, 2015 we resolved to honor her birthday by hosting a blood drive to re-pay the blood that had been donated while she fought. Since she was extraordinary in everything she did, she received an astounding 113 blood product transfusions in those few short months. Following the success of the first drive we hosted another on the anniversary of her diagnosis. We now host 4 drives annually in her honor.
